I have four Eastern box Turtles. I know I can keep them outside and they haibernate. I need to know if three toe and ornate box turtles hibernate. Ornate Box turtles are found in wisconson so I figure they hibernate right??????Thanks

Yes they both hibernate.

I live in Texas and have had a ornate boxie for about 2 years. I agree they do hibernate but will mention that in warmer areas, the hibernation might not go straight thru the winter. I made sure the water supply was available during the winter (when not below freezing) and my boxie, would move around during warm spells. He changed hibernation spots in his outdoor enclosure about half way thru last winter. I would guess in colder regions, the hibernation would be uninterrupted.
