I want to try to breed my own crickets. Anyone ever done this? Or a good site to go to?

most places that you order your crickets from have a section on how to take care of the crickets also Dr. know would be able to tell you AKA google.com
personaly i tried it a bit and those things are not worth trying to breed unless you have ample space and time. they are noiseie and stink when dead. if the shipping cost is too much for you talk to your local pet store owner because they will order you the 1000 crickets if you tell them how much you are getting them for online. ya it will be a little more costly then 10$ for a 1000 but the pet store owners would rather sell you a 1000 and make a couple of bucks off of you then not make a dime. that is my personaly openion and that is what i have found works best for me.
hope i was some help and good luck with it

its your world i just live here
Thank you for your input. I actually did find a site last night that gave me some info. I just want to try it, see how it goes. Right now I raise my own silks, but I do realize the silks are not noisy like the crickets, so that may turn me against trying to breed them again. It really isn't the shipping cost, I just wanted to see if I could do it myself
This guy has really done his research. Even though his website doesn't really have anything to do about reptiles, he did all this research on breeding crickets for a school project. At least that's what I've been told. His website is http://skylab.org/~chugga/cricket
I followed his instructions and now I have hundreds of baby crickets running around. The best part about his website is all the helpful photos. It's really not all that hard at all. I think everyone should breed their own crickets if they have the time and patience for it.
