Thermostat

Hetfield6J Jul 24, 2004 11:04 PM

I recently have switched my heating arrangement around, getting rid of the overhead light, to a UTH. Problem is, the UTH is getting way to hot. I checked 2 pet stores today, and a couple hardware stores for a thermostat with a probe that i can tape/stick to the bottom of the cage. No luck anywhere. Can someone give me a place to pick one up, or a web site where i can order a one?

You can purchase a thermostat at BigAppleHerp.com. Their BAH-1000 is pretty good, and very affordable. There are also several other reptile supply stores online that you will be able to find thermostats for sale... Good luck.

Thanks for the help. I ended up ordering this one from reptile direct, as it seems to be the same thing for cheaper.

ok If money is no object buy from a reptile supply store and get a real nice setup. If you are looking for inexpensive go to a store like home depot and get a lamp dimmer sitch that you can plug the UTH dimmer experiment to find the right setting for you. Dimmers only cost 8-12 dollars.
