Substrates again?

Pimpnit869 Jul 25, 2004 12:15 AM

Hello forum members my question is everyone here has said that Play Sand is a good substrate to use but I have found something very simular to it without the larger pebbles in it. It has gone through a 20 screen so more smaller sand in it. BUT there was a warning on the back that said just as the same with the Play Sand that states may cause cancer if dust inhaled but on the finer sand it also states MAY contain Silica. Is this bad for me BD's? or should I just stay with the Play Sand?
thanks Jay

Any sand can contain silica and inhaling the very fine dust in quantities can cause problems. Not sure if it would be as irritating to a dragon or not but washed play sand tends to have alot less dust than other sands.
