Jungle Carpet poop question.

marktexas Jul 25, 2004 02:04 AM

I have a jungle carpet hatchling. I have fed it seven times at seven day intervals. Always huge pinkies with light fuzz. I have only once found any waste, just small amounts of urates. Is this normal for young carpets? I keep it on cage carpet so I know I am not missing anything.

I have noticed the same thing in young pythons (maybe all snakes). I don't know if they are actually using the entire meal or just don't have enough waste to expel. I would at least think we would see some hair excreted. I would say don't worry about it. The little one will go soon enough.
