HI I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ITS SAFE TO SCOOP UP SOME ANTS THAT ARE IN MY HOUSE AND FEED THEM TO MY BEARDIES??? I WONDER CUZ THERES ALOT OF THEM SINCE IT IS THE SUMMER TIME PLEASE LET ME KNOW??? THANK YOU PEOPLE!!!!

I wouldn't do it. I think that black ants (that is the kind you are talking about right?)actually have something in them or on them that repels alot of would be predators. I could be wrong, as I got this info from a girl at work because I had the same problem at one time. We had an infestation, and they were actually getting into my beardie's enclosure, but I am fairly certain that she didn't eat any of them. We have since had to have an exterminator come. Anything out in the wild like that can carry parasites that you don't want your beardie to be exposed to also.

Also, the ants could attack and bite your beardie.

If your talking about the large black ants. I feel your pain, I have them in my house too. I dont know if he was right or not, but my exterminator told me they are called carpenter ants, and they are attracted to moisture and feed on rotton wood. (which i have alot of being in the woods). I would take the side of caution and not risk it. Besides.. have you ever been bitten by them. I know from experience, they hold on and dont let go. Good luck.
