hatchling U.ebenauiv with embylical cord still attached? Neil Meister or anyone with some advice.

Anyone have some good advice on how to treat a hatchling Ebans with its embylical cord still attached. Out of the two eggs I had in this clutch, one turned out fine but the second one hatched a day later and didn't fully absorb his cord.

Neil, do you have some imput that may remedy this situation?

Travisdank?

I know with other lizards you just leave them in the incubator on dampened paper towel for awhile longer !

I hope he does okay, Let us know

The first hatchling in this group has nearly shed in full. The one in question has just gone into shed. that might turn something good up. I also noticed that his head shape has not fully developed. Its slightly stunted. Nothing to complain about yet but I'll see wear this goes. I also have some more eggs that should hatched within twenty days or so. The mother is a breeding machine.

If the gecko is strong otherwise, the bit of yolk sac attached may come off. Now and then you may get a hatchling that is weak and doesn't make it. Make sure your female is getting enough supplements, usually oral Calcium or land snails are necessary when they lay a lot of eggs. Keep the humidity high and hope for a good shed.
