FENCE LIZARD CARE NEEDED and a few other questions

Paullywog Jul 25, 2004 09:13 AM

FIrst of all can someone send me a care sheet on a western fence lizard? Also, is it considerable to wild catch a pair of male and female? I want to breed them and would it be ok if i immediately let the babies go to raise the population or will they not be as sharp as wilds and get eaten? Oh that brings up how to breed them. IF you can answer that would be great.

It is never a good idea to release captives back into the wild. They can spread diseases that they have picked up from your home, especially if you have other reptiles.
They do make great pets however but once you have had them for a while you should not release them.
Hope this helps
By the way: They are fairly easy to catch but I have heard that they do not breed well in captivity.
