125 tank

Madmartigan Jun 22, 2003 02:43 PM

moving my one beardie (about 1 years old) into my old 125 gallon aquarium tank (72x18x24". My question is can I put a second or maybe third dragon in there with him? If so does it have to be the same age or is there enough space that I could get by with putting in a very young one? It's such a big tank, I'd just like to add to it is that seems ok.

thanks in advance.

Caging Posted by johnP yesterday asked the same question. Go down the forum a few posts to post titled Caging. We answered the same question there.

thanks. I didn't see that post before I wrote mine. Pretty sure mine is a male, so it looks like I'll be getting some plexiglass to separate this tank in half

With the plexi glass idea one thing I would do would be to use a solid plastic piece or a painted piece of plexi glass. If the other one you get is male or female, he will constantly be banging into the glass either trying to mate the new female or defend his territory from another male. Just a tip. Don't want the new one to get off to a bad start being overly dominated by the other male. Yes this happens even through glass. When my females are out my male starts bobbing and scratching at the glass to get to them. They are horny little devils :P Good Luck with the new dragon.

thanks I'll keep that in mind. Now that I'm dividing the tank, I'm not sure if I'm going with another dragon. I may get a Uromastyx.
