I'm going to be giving my turtle away because I can't take her to college with me. Just out of curiosity, is there going to be any psychological impact on her? I don't know if reptiles have that sort of thinking, but I don't want her to be traumatized by new surroundings, new types of food, etc. How can I make the transition easier on her?

I just moved into a new house and my turtles seemed to adjust pretty quickly. They were jumpy for two days, but they are back to their old selves now. They will take food from anybody, I was on my honeymoon for two weeks and they didn't seem to miss me at all. If possible, have the new person take your tank and decorations so their surroundings remain familiar.
