Suggestions for 40 gallon breeder tank...

btorgy Jul 25, 2004 07:42 PM

I have a 40 gallon breeder tank that I would like to set up for frogs. I have a horned frog who is ready to move into a larger tank, but 40 gallon seems awfully big for him. I am considering White's Dumpy's or Waxy Monkey tree frogs, and have been researching them for awhile. Want to stay away from aquatics for now. Would like a nice terrarium setup with at least a couple of animals in it. Anyone have any favorites? And pics of your setups would be great!
Thanks!
Beth

I don't think that a 40 breeder would be sutiable for tree frogs it is not tall enough. What about going with something terrestrial, dart frogs or toads. You need to find something that is more bottom dwelling.

Good luck

I'd suggest Firebellied toads (you don't count them as aquatic do you?) or maybe Leopard frogs, barely know anything about them though. For treefrogs I agree with the previous poster, you need a high aboreal tank.
