WC BALL PYTHONS

FOURFEETBALLS Jul 25, 2004 10:02 PM

I have four WC BALL PYTHONS, all female and have tried every thing I know of to get them to eat from mice in old hamster shaving to the hamster its self and rat pups. Some one told me to try gerbils , but can't get them in California. Anybody know where to find frozen that can be shipped in? Want to try gerbils then progress to rubbing mice or rats against gerbil to get them to eat. If anyone can help , thanks in advance!

I myself picked up 8 of these back in January or Februsary...its been awhile. Anyways with the exception of a nice banded one none would eat.....and she ate only when I confined her to a small Neodesha cage with a flower pot flipped upside down for a hide spot(make the hole bigger on the bottom with a hammer).

Now...I finally got 4 more of them to eat in the last 2 weeks...not only are they eating but the are gorging on rats...3 a piece since the initial feeding.

Things in Common where the flower pot method and the fact that i feed at night as well...I mean no lights...put a live rat in while it is dark and either sit and listen or leave and come back and check in a little while.

They need plenty of water and disturbed as little as possible and a lot of patience.
