Here is a lesson for all. I knew not to do it, and still did. I got unexpected company during feeding, and tossed these kids together to go get the door. Whats left is a dead snake, and one that surely will be soon.ENJOY!!
btw, if you were interested in number 08 on our site, it is no longer available.

I actually did learn from my experience last year.Same thing happened, so all of my neonate boas are housed seperately. All are fed seperately as well. I just put these together to go run and get the door, and planned to come right back. I got distracted, took longer than I should have, and now am thinking about getting rid of all of my boas because obviously I am a piece of...

well, you learn from your mistakes. dont be so hard on yourself. also. if you are giving up your snakes. ill take a female

ya, i wouldnt be too hard on yourself dave, im sure its happened to almost anyone who has kept boas, almost had it happen to a couple 6 month olds i keep in the same cage, i always stick close by during feeding time and its a good thing i did one time not too long ago as these two babies had each other in a death hold and one would surely have gotten eaten just like your example except that i heard a loud "rustle" in that cage, i turned around (was feeding others at the same time) and saw the two babies like that, got em apart real fast let me tell you and decided to separate at that point

im also sorry for your loss, cause ive done some stupid s*** and lost a baby or 2

thats kinda scary cause I always replay a senario in my head that someday ill get a jungle or motley (male) and put him in with one of my big girls and have the same end result as you instead of babies. anyways thanks for the reassurance lol

Davey, I just would like to thank you for posting the pics. I have heard of this happening, and about 4 years ago I had two small boas that I housed together but fed seperate. When I put them together they locked up on each other and it took about 10 minutes to get them appart running cold water on them and anything esle I could think of. I never really thought what you showed could happen to me, and I was now houseing two common boas together again. I just got done seperateing them and setting up individual set ups. Both of those snakes were my kids snakes so I just want to say thanks for the reality check. I am sorry about your loss, but thanks for sharing. Andy Federico
