Yes, the female just downed a large mouse a couple of days ago. The small male eats two fuzzies/borderline hoppers every four days. The large male eats two large mice at each feeding, as well. We've found seven alternas, and each one has been a great eater. Wish I could say we've had the same luck with our neonates. That's the only down side to alternas. In an attempt to see what would happen to the feeding response of offspring of differing species or subspecies, two years ago I bred a large male generic alterna to a female pure durango (greeri). All seven hatchlings ate like gangbusters right after their initial sheds, and due to what some call hybrid vigor they are now well over thirty inches, although they are not yet two years old. And talk about screamers, they are just awesome. I'm not really into hybridization though, I just wanted to see what would happen in terms of feeding responses. This Juno Road trio will be kept pure, in terms of breeding. N Anyway, if you'd be interested to view any pics of the animals I've referred to, just drop me an email.
