Hello,
The way you're feeding him seems fine. Twice a day is good as long as you keep giving him at least 2 hours to digest before the light goes out. But one thing- you should be feeding him as much as he wants during every feeding. do you stop at 5 or 6 crickets or does he just not want any more after 5 or 6 crickets? 10-12 per day isnt enough. when mine was that young, he ate at the very least 30 crickets a day. so try feeding him as much as he wants. =)

Lol, yeah thats exactly what i thought at first, but when i asked the same question people told me to feed as much as he wanted. so if he wants 30 crickets, then let him have 30 crickets =) as long as he's pooping every day he should be fine. Just feed him til he stops. you could feed him probably about 10-15 crix in the morning and stop at that, and then just feed him as much as he wants in the other feeding and that should work out fine.

Feed him crickets no bigger than the space between his eyes and let him eat as many as he wants withing a 10-15 minute time span. Some days he may eat more, others less, depending on the dragon. Mine always eats less when he is starting to shed but once the old skin is gone, he eats like a pig.

Not sure how far away from home your work is but you could always come back home during your lunch over and feed him then. If you can't then two feedings should be alright. Don't forget to mist him and leave a small cap of water to drink (if he does that is) so he won't get dehydrated.

3 weeks seems pretty young for a beardie to be sold...mine was three months old when I got him, and about 8 inches long. As long as yours is 6 inches, 2 feedings a day should be ok, as long as he has greens for the time between feedings.

He can probably eat more then 5-6 crickets per feeding. Feed as much as he can eat in the morning. Leave him a dish of pellets and greens. Then feed as much as he can eat as soon as you get home. Maybe you could get a bowl with sides high enough to keep crickets in and leave them for him during the day.
