That you really need to turn off your flash before you take pictures. I mean im not trying to be a shmuck here but why post a picture like that? you cant even see the animal. Im sorry if you feel that im just being a jerk over here but hey you asked for thoughts and opinions .Now would it be to much to ask for you to take another picture so we all can see what the animal looks like i for one am very interested
thanks

considering the way i came off before but hey fly fish that was kinda rude and uncalled for i think a apoligy is in order! I understand that the snake may not be to your likeing but to put it down like that is just plain wrong. Ive seen you post here but i have never seen you post any pictures of your snakes for us to give opinions on why dont you do that befor you go putting down anyones animals

The funniest part of the Purist Vs Morph debate is unless you collected it yourself you are know more certain of the authenticity of an animal then anyone else.. Hogs have been interbred for as long as they have been brought into the country, the only difference between now and then is the people doing it today tell people that they are a hog cross unlike when they were sold as "pure".. Pretty sad that so many people have a collection of what they hope and believe is a pure animal all the while they more then likely have a CROSS that was done so by the people they think are reputable..

Sorry for ranting, the issue regarding pure hoggs and cross hoggs is a dead issue but nobody seems to know it yet.. Like Herman always says, whether it happened 1000 generations ago it still happened and still makes it a mutt.

I do beleive that their are multiple breeders that have pure hogs. Gus Renfro, Class Reptilia, Northwest Wisconsin Reptiles, John Bailey, Hawkeye Herps, as well as my brother and I have animals that were collected by Bob Sears. Most of us purchased our animals from Mark Wendling here in Iowa. He had multiple WC animals from Sears. So unless these breeders crossed them then they are still pure. How long these pure lines will last is anyone's guess.

It is true that pure hogs are out in collections, the hard part is being able to tell which ones are actual hogs that were actually imported from the island.. (even the original importers sold mainland from the coast animals that had the appearance as hogs, that were not) That is where the entire problem comes into play and destroys the cred of any thought of pure hogs in captivity. We know they are out there, but who has them..
