i need help

whitiespets Jul 26, 2004 11:52 AM

i need help identifying a snake. I assume that it is in oxybelis. there are 4 species in this genus, though I can only find the names of two. this snake looks just like the Oxybelis fulgidus except it's pupils are elongated anterioraly and come to a point. They wrap far enough foward for them to have stereoscopic vision. Any info will help. I will post photos when i get them. Thanks.

Have you tried comparing your snake to photos of Ahaetulla nasuta? The configuration of the eyes sounds right for them and they look similar to Oxebellus.
