Weird Markings on Leopard Tortoises!!!!

I was soaking my leopards and noticed very strange pattern on one my my leopards shell . It looks as if there where markings from lord of the rings! Is there such thing as worms could be seen through the shell. Thats the only thing I can come up with? My other leopard does not have the markings. Will get a picture in soon.. camera is down.
