Update and questions on my new corn .

PAsnake Jul 26, 2004 06:47 PM

First of all any suggestions for a cool name for an unknown gender snake? i can't seem to think of any i like.

Feeding day today and when i went to get the fuzzies they were out till next week, but they had 4 pinks, so i got them. I couldn't bring myself to pre kill them so i fed live. Put them in a box and added the snake and immediately it took one, before he was even fully in the box lol. I fed all 4 and they left only a slight 4 inch long bulge. I think the snake would have eaten a dozen if i let it lol. I will be making a trip to the August Hamburg PA show for frozen mice, and to window shop.

Also is he/she a normal or hypo? i am torn, in the pictures there appears to be more of a black border around the blotches. In person they are more of a chocolate color and not as noticeable.
Spardawolf also seems to think it may be a hypo. Doesn't matter to me as i am very happy with my new snake, just nice to know.

thanks

Wayne

>>It looks hypo to me.
My ghost shows darker borders in photographs then in real life so I can understand what you are saying about your snake.

Post a picture of the belly. Hypo's won't have the black checkers.

Didn't know about the hypo belly thing, i am learning all the time. Here is a shot i took before his feeding, he does have some fading and orange in the belly checks as seen in the picture. I won't be able to get a better one untill i am sure he has fully digested his first meal in my care.

thanks

nice looking is it another morph? like a creamsicle hypo or something it is very light colored.

Also the belly checks thing does it fade with age? My snakes belly has quite a bit more black than yours. Again it is a little darker in the picture than in person, i will have to try to get an outside shot without a flash and see if the pattern shows up closer to if seen in person. Think my snake is a normal?
As i said i really don't care but it is nice to know.

thanks
