What should I expect to pay for a pair of 2yr old Ball Pythons?

Passport Jul 26, 2004 09:47 PM

Is there a going price for normal, healthy, feeding, tame pair of balls? I need to know so I don't spend too much.

People will pay up to & possibly more that $500.00 for an adult CBB female Ball python, and males are very cheap ($25-$100 for normal adults). I would think that $200.00-$300.00 for a normal pair would be reasonable if they were not being bought to make a profit off of, but breeders will pay alot of $$ for a mature ready female. If you are looking for just a pet, then remember, a Ball python can live up to 49 years, and how do you put a price on that?

Because of the morph crazy females are going for alot more then they used to. Infact you used to be able to grab 4ft plus female balls at $100, now they are over double that ($250 ). Anyways Expect to pay very little for the male $30-50 and up to $200 for the female. That's for c.b.b. balls. Good Luck,

I managed to buy a 1700 gram 5 foot female for $120.00
That was a STEAL! (2 months later she is 2344 grams)
Wonder what her worth is today ..lol

If they are at 800 grams or so(2years old)then i would say $120-$200 for the female and $75 or less for the male.
In this scenario $200/pair is reasonable to me.

Adult females (over 1500 grams) command market price! Which used to be alot lower indeed. However, since you are up against buyers that have a $20,000.00 male morph that they want to breed...well it changes the perspective...
