I'm making Squig a new cage

kristinL568 Jun 22, 2003 04:59 PM

Right now, it's just styrofoam held together with tacks but I'm gonna cover it with tile grout. So far it's looking pretty nifty. I think I might build some fake rocks too.

He's intensely interested in the whole thing. In between basking & spazzing of course. Mostly, he just wants to know what I'm doing & if he can eat it.

When your done, those fake rocks are a very neat hobby, and come out looking quite cool ! Go for it girl ! If you can build a robot, and you did, you can certainly master this ! Eve

I am very interested in your cage. Have you used that styrofoam and grout method before. DO you think it could be used in an aquatic tank?

Thank you,

Brian

I haven't used it before but dsome people ont he forum have. I have no idea whther it would work for an aquarium. I'm not sure if the grout would hold up to all the water.

I found this Danish site where something like that has been made for an aquarium. You can try to drop him an e-mail and ask for a description in English. His e-mail: webmaster@cichlids.dk
