Seems like alot of your Axanthics are banded also. You most certainly have a genetic Banded/Reduced pattern in your Axanthic lineage.
Very nice

VERY NICE, Mike..... Love the head! But, shouldnt they be called "Increased pattern" ? I mean, they have MORE pattern. Just my opinion, but what do I know.

They're refered to as reduced pattern because they have reduced black areas. I've always wondered if balls were golden with black patterning or black with golden patterning. Seems like the first explanation is the most accepted...lol. Anyway, here is a pic of a nice reduced male I got a while back. Next year I'll be able to comment more on his genetics, as I have a female with nearly identical characteristics that will be mature enough for breeding this winter.
Glass is half full or half empty huh? They call them reduced because an animal w/ brown connecting down the sides would not have much of a pattern......
