All my snakes seem to crawl off the hook as I pick it up off the ground - Anyone have any favorite techinques they'd like to share?

All my snakes seem to crawl off the hook as I pick it up off the ground - Anyone have any favorite techinques they'd like to share?

Ive had a similar problem. You should try to get them 1/3 of the body from the head, then they should slide down the hook to the center of the body where they should stay while lifted. The only other technique that I know of (but have not used) is to use two hooks and get them at 1/3 and 2/3 lenght of the body. This method provides more support for their bodies. If all else fails try getting gentle giant tongs.
