Congratulations guys! I'm SO happy to see those Leucistics hatch out! I have 2.1 Mojaves. The males are breeding now and the female will be ready by next Spring. I wonder what Mojave x Mojave will produce? If anyone does it this year, please let us know. I want to know what I'm in store for.

I just think its awesome what you have accomplished this year with the pastave and now the platinum x mojave breeding. Keep up the great work and let us know what's next!

well congrats you just made every mojave owning person happy & proably a little richer...unfortunately i am not part of that group..lol I had a question so are you guys gonna try for a hypo luesistic or what?? being that the hypo mojave is here do you have any goals for something along those lines? it sounds a lil silly since the snake is all white but you never know what it might do to a snake's appearance maybe clean up any light color showing or make it more transparent...well if you do keep us posted

TSKinc Jul 27, 2004 04:04 PM

Congratulations to you guys!

Can you see my smile I LOVE IT!!!

Congratulations thats really great. Especially getting both Mojaves AND lessers along with the Leucistics, it's like hitting the Trifecta. Good job.

A big congrats for such an amazing accomplishment!

And most importantly, unlike most breeders, for sharing this success story with everyone.

Would you take a beach front house in Malibu in trade? LOL
Congrats on those awesome snakes and some great odds!

anthony james mc Jul 27, 2004 11:32 PM

Thanks Joe and Wes for taking the time to prove this out as this answers some questions that we all have been wondering about. Seems as though a Phantom is obviously very compatable/comparable to a Mojave, which is a theory most of us have had all along! This pretty much proves it I'd say. The Mojave will now get the credit it deserves and should hold it's value quite well for some time! Now once the Ivory is produced by someone else , yet more answers will be known and we can all start getting busy!!!! This is only the begining to some awesome projects in the near future, and as always the Ball Python strikes again!!!! Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles.

I only lurk here. But how have we made the jump to say Mojaves are part of the Lucy mystery. Have I missed something. Isn't it the Lesser Plat that seem to be the common thread. In fact a particular line of Lesser Plattys. Just a question and obviously very cool snakes and great clutch.

If a lesser platty is bred to a snake not carrying the leucistic gene, it will not produce leucistic offspring.

I told several other significant breeders that I did in fact think that this would be one of the outcomes of this cross after you announced that you had them on the ground, congratulations again. Douglas Beard / Flora & Fauna.

RandyRemington Jul 28, 2004 06:19 PM

Enough people thought it would happen a year ago to make the price of Mojave's shoot up as soon as RDR produced leucy from Platy X Phantom.

RandyRemington Jul 28, 2004 06:27 PM

Not trying to be rude. While there is still room for speculation on everything that is going on this wasn't a real surprise (or why MKR have thought of making this cross?).

Senegal Jul 28, 2004 06:22 PM

Congrats again guys!! Well now we all have to wait to see what the super Mojave looks like!! I am sure glad we got into the platty and mojave markets last year!! Can't wait to see these guys hatch out up and close. Congrats on the respect you guys have earned on this one!
