Hey,
It looks Sumatran to me, as in Sumatran Red-Blood!

i kinda thought that .. but what throws me off from what ive been seeing here and reading etc and lookin at posted pictures, most of the sumatrans ive seen have the darker coloration of the head.. this ones head as you can see is really bright ... thats what is throwing me off here. lol

Yup I agree with Angel on this one, definately looks like a red. Theres all sorts of variable color patterns with the various bloods and short tails. Which is really the part I love (and probably what makes them so addicting). Your guys head might darken up as he gets older, bloods typically go through various color changes as they age, and theres usually no telling what you'll end up with. I've also noticed with some of my short tails that their heads are really light and bright right after a shed and then tend to darken after that and then lighten up again after shed, some also change a little from light to dark depending on the lighting as well. Good luck with you little guy he looks great.

That is a twin to my (now deceased) Sumatran Blood python. She had a light peachy head as well. I will say that she got more light tones as she got older, peaches/oranges/yellows. And had really blushy cheeks.
That's a beauty you got there, good luck!

thank you guys .. i appreciate the comments ... my son is in love with this guy ... id say i got great deal for $85 ... ive always wanted to try bloods.. they are the ones that always caught my attention.. but never really saw one that caught my eye like this one .. so i took the chance and talked the price down to $85.. not even knowing what blood it was .. i just noticed the light colored head on him and the bright oranges and reds and yellows... which for some reason dont really show too much in the pic.. and believe me .. this picture doesnt do him any justice at all.. and on top of that his attitude is awsome ... sweet as can be :D

heres another pic of him
