Dumerils with possible eye problem....

biscuit71 Jul 27, 2004 01:04 PM

My Dumeril shed about a week or so back, and one of his eyes looks... kind of dry i guess you could call it... it just looks "off". I called NERD and he said i could try to rub over the eye with a soft Q-Tip to see if it is unshed skin... but it doesnt move.. actually looks soft if that makes sense. It seems more to me like the eye itself is wrinkled.... very odd, and has me slightly distressed. Otherwise the snake looks perfectly healthy...... I made him an appointment with a vet, but it isnt until next Monday... that is the only day the vet is available. Only exotics vet around.. Unless maybe somebody knows of a vet in NH that could see him before that. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.

give em a soak in shallow water with a covered top. Should take care of it. No big deal.
