some questions

ok a few quick questions....1.i found a couple of little red specks in my bp's water bowl today, are these mites?, they dont appear to be on his body, mouth, or eyes. 2.i was advised by someone on the forum to wait until the 2nd or 3rd feeding to handle him, (im not trying to insult him or his opinion), but is it necessary to wait this long? 3.today i thought he'd escaped but i finally found him curled up between his heating pad and the cage glass, does this signify his heat source is adequate bc hes trying to get so much agaist it?

thanx in advace.

The red dots could be mites. I've seen red dots on animals before. I would recommend "Provent-a-mite" from ProProducts.com as a "just in case" precautionary measurement.

I don't agree with not handling your newly arrived animal until after the 3rd/4th feeding. You should be able to handle your animal after s/he acclimates.

When you say it curled between the heating pad and glass, what do you mean exactly? Do you have a heating pad INSIDE the tank?? Any photo's would be helpful.

Hope this helps.
