Hi all, havent been on in a while but I have a bit of an interesting question, or atleast it seem interesting to me.
Well, it about the different subspecies of leos. I saw a post a while back that was talking about the different subspecies of eublepharis macularius:
-eublepharis m. montanus
-eublepharis m. afghanicus
-eublepharis m. fasciolatus
Now, when I look at my two leos, side be side, they look completely different. Not just the pattern or design, but the figure. My male is much leaner, with a long neck and really different shape to his body. He is also very high strung, and fast as hell.
I also read that when leos were brought in from the different countries they originate from, people bred the different subspecies together and what people mostly have now is a mixture of the different subspecies. So my question pretty much is, is it possible that I have two different subspecies (kinda) of leoS?
I've always pondered this after reading that post a couple months ago and looking at this site: http://bornova.ege.edu.tr/~bgocmen/emacularius.html
Also, forgive me if im using terms incorrectly or something or just plain sound like an idiot, I'm only 14 and nowhere near knowing everything most of you probably know.
