Stupid frog question?

mike_edwardes May 14, 2003 01:24 PM

In an attempt to disprove the theory that there are no stupid questions, only stoopid answers, here goes...
When books refer to the size of Anurans, I assume they are referring to the length of the body, i.e. ignoring the legs, whereas when they refer to the size of Caudates, I assume they mean the total length including the tail. Is this right?
Ta,
Mike.

The scientific and professional standard for herps is SVL snout to vent length, or body length. If it is different, they should specify.
