Hi... I have one that likes to dig in the substrate on the bottom of his cage.. Does anyone know why he would do this, he is supposed to be a he.. Thanks

Does your cage have plastic or glass panels? Possibly he's trying to get out of the cage?

It's screened cage, yes the bottom is glass but he can't see it unless he moves the substrate...
