Shannon there has been some talk about weather these are T albinos or not and at least one breeder has labeled them as such. I asked around and to my knowledge nobody has done has tested for the infamous “T” protein. The perception is that T albinos look different when in fact this isn’t necessarily the case. In Bechtel’s book he discusses this in some detail in regards to black rats. A detail that is often overlooked is that to two types of albinism (T and T-) at least in black rats phenotypically looked the same! Only breeding revealed that the strains were not allelic and it took testing to determine the different metabolic failures at work. Anyway I think it’s safer to just call these guys hypos even if that is an overly broad term as well.
BTW looking forward to meeting you in Daytona!
Yeah,I figured as much.I have broda's old milk snake poster were they are labled albinos as well?
Either way they are really killer.
Looking forward myself,
shannon
