Need suggestions

bryan139 Jul 27, 2004 07:02 PM

I'm planning on building a nice display setup for dart frogs. I'd like to throw a turtle in there and need some suggestions. I need a species that doesn't get very big (no more than 5" or so full grown) can handle the temps related to the frogs (70-80) and won't try to eat the frogs. I definitely plan on doing some research before I get the turtle but I don't want to research every turtle under the sun looking for the right one. Some suggestions on where to begin would be greatly appreciated.

Any turtle, aside from the tortoises, would try to pick off a small frog if in range. Basically any aqautic turtle, box turtle, wood turtle etc would eat a frog. Tortoises however will not work in the same set up as a dart frog tank. So the idea of keeping a turtle and some frogs together, especially in a smaller tank, is not smart.
