Hey everyone i got a whiptail will it tame much?

It freaks out when i open the cage and i once was able to pet it and it sat there cofortably and then another time i tried it he ran and jumped all over so does anyone know if the will tame much? And eve its kindof active and im planning on breeding my leo with a friends albino one and get some money for more stuff if possible *yay*

Hello Paul:
Whiptails do not usually tame down very well. They are fast moving lizards, most being found in the drier portions of our country. They are more of a display kind of a pet than one that you would hold.

at, but very fast, and kind of a flighty, lizard, that is not very handlable.

I have never had one, so I'm just going on what I have read about them.

You have him now, so take good care of him, I'm sure hes a beauty!

shes active and hardly eats for how active she is. Every time i look in there shes basking or hunting in a different place. Im pretty glad i got her. It is the kind of lizard I can keep with ease and little money. I figured that but i was just wondering. Thanks guys!
