POLL! Jolliff or VPI Snow...which do you prefer and why?!

PristinePythons Jul 27, 2004 08:34 PM

They are both beautiful although I'm leaning toward VPI as it looks like they contain less yellow. What are your opinions? Looks like I will need some Axanthics next year!

I thought they bought his and used it for their own projects.

I think VPI did buy Jolliff's first snow but they have since produced a snow from the VPI line of axanthics and I think even there own Jolliff snow.

The only picture I've seen of two snows together was an RDR picture of a Jolliff and a VPI of the same young age. To me they looked nearly identical but perhaps you could see a little more yellow on the Jolliff. It would be interesting to see comparison pics of more snows, especially as they age, to see if there is for sure a trend for one line to be whiter than the others. Of course to really be fair you would like to see several individuals from each line since presumably there will be variation between individuals of the same line. Right now there still aren’t all that many snows in existence. The pics I've seen of the SK snow also look pretty white but it doesn't look like anyone will have all three lines for a group pic anytime soon.

I agree that they all look similar, but the whitest one I have seen in pics has been of SK line.

I saw a post by T. Barker indicating that she hadn't yet produced a VPI snow. I must have been confusing the Jolliff snow she produced.
