Gecko sleeps all the time?

Sassy76 Jul 27, 2004 08:52 PM

My Gecko seems to sleep all the time, throughout the day and evening, I go to bed around midnight and she is usually still sleeping, is it normal for them to sleep so much??? I am just wondering!

they wake up when the lights go out
mine i swear are up 24/7 cuz they bug me during the day and at night
i can hear them scratching all the time

its normal, you think they're never awake, i wish mine would sleep more, but they are out and about.

Are you sure she is alright, it is 1:00 in the morning and she is still in her cool side hide sleeping??? She is very active when i hold her but the minute i put her back in the cage she goes right back to sleep??

are they in your room?
i had a paper towel roll (empty toilet roll) in the cage and all night ALL that i could ever hear was this skritching drove me insane and i took it out the next night :D

I mean try something like that something noisy and if they are in your room listen for a while.

Otherwise if they're healthy, eating and pooping well you shouldn't be worried.

They are a nocturnal species
Mine have been "trained" to wake up when they're fed, or basically when i walk by and look at them

She is on top of my computer desk in my dining room so i can't hear her at night, there is no where to put her in my room, i guess i will just have to assume that she is up at night!
