No you don't really want to use that stuff. I used an organic top soil with no additives. Just read the ingredients before you buy it.

Oh and a husband
do you know where I might find this?I live in arizona
I would recommend using some bed-a-beast mixed with peat moss it holds in the humidity good. I have been using this and its been working great.
Joel
I just got it at the depot or a local garden center. Most places will carry something organic like that.
I don't like the bed-a-beast. it is a waste of money, a pain to deal with and you always end up with bugs in it. I switched to the soil and I LOVE IT!!!

Oh and a husband
got some organic top soil with no additives and put a little moss from the pet store to help with the humidity and should work out well thank you christina

You can also get sphagnum peat moss from the depot too. It is actually better then that moss from the pet store. It is more like dirt but it absorbs water beautifully. It would be perfect for an ornate. I even mix the soil with sand so that area will be drier. Ornates like a dry area and a moist area.
