My two new baby hogs are really cool and doing good.

I mentioned them in a response a short ways down the page, I figured I ought to post a little report (sorry no digicam to take pics.) The male is from PMherps and the female is from Starlight Specialties. Both were early picks from their litters and I am very happy with them. The male is stunningly orange and the female has very pink sides and belly even though it still mostly has it's baby grey color.

The female is really mellow and will probably make several appearances at the local reptile club meetings that meet just down the street. I might just call her Miss Piggy because I know the kids at the club will get a kick out of that. I'll probably stick with the theme of children's story/puppet/cartoon names and name the male Crictor after a children's book that most likely had something to do with me growing up to like snakes. Anyone else read Crictor? I barely remember it at all.

They are doing fine in aquariums with UTHs and towels over the tops to reduce ventilation, like how I raised my old Colombian years ago. For convenience I ordered a sweaterbox tub rack, flexwatt and helix proportional thermostat. I plan to get one more female and then close my collection...for now.
