Hey my grandfather just made a cage for me bearded dragon, He used a white latex paint, water based i think.. do I need to coat this with something ? its giving off a super strong smell..

If it's been a while and the product is still offgassing it may have been applied too thick.
If that's the case, coating it won't help.
And you really need to find out exactly what type of paint was used.
