Question about "funny" looking neck on Pastel Jungle Hatchling

chondro788 Jun 22, 2003 07:39 PM

This is a picture of a Pastel Jungle that I hatched out today. My question is, has anyone ever had a baby come out with a almost sunken in neck like this? My only guess is dehydration, but the rest of the body looks fine. It seems normal in every other way. Let me know any ideas.
Thanks, Jason Stoots

My bp's neck looked like that when it was a baby, I just think it is loose skin since it has to stretch so much to eat. I dont know for sure tough.

I remember seeing the same thing a year or two ago on baby boas. It's extra skin that gre on his nack and made the webbing. More than likely, the snake will lead a perfectly normal life and just have that little extra skin.
