Have You All Seen This Web Site???

I admit I know squat about cages because Forest is a free roamer (was before we adopted him) but I was surfing & these look cool. Just thought I'd pass it along.

Really don't know if they work well....like I said, I know diddly about cages.

Enjoy!

I haven't seen that site before... I was particularly impressed with the shelving. I built a pvc sunning cage several years ago based on instructions I found on another site. I don't use that cage anymore since Dexter doesn't really need it. The only difficultly I ran into with the pvc cages was that I found out the hard way that if the cage is used outside, you have to use "UV" resistant (black) zip ties, or they will all have to be replaced (which in my case involved over 500 zip ties!). Granted, I live in Las Vegas and the sun is extra brutal, but after one season, the normal zip ties just crumbled (and the pvc piping turned brown)!

I live in FL where the sun is bad too so the thing about the zip ties is good to know.

Those cages are so cool....almost makes me want to build one for Forest, although he'd probably look at me like "wtf woman, I AIN'T going in there!"

Hehe

You are probably right about that! If it makes you feel any better, building the cage was a lot of work! The instructions I had said it could be done in an afternoon, but it took me about a week, and that was for a 6'x4'x2.5' cage (it was sized to fit into my car). Plus, between the pvc, zip ties, hardware, and the mesh it cost about $120 to make.
