Green Tree Frog Croaks

evilbob Jul 28, 2004 09:46 AM

Hello,
I've owned a few other tree frogs before but the one I have now makes noise. It was really wierd the first time I heard it now it's a daily thing. Almost every morning about 8:00 or 8:30 my frog will kinda bark. Does anyone have any ideas why? I believe this makes a positive ID that it's male, but is something wrong? Happy, sad, mad, lonely? What do you think?

Is there any kind of noise that happens at that specific time? My whites calls at night if he hears me or someone else talking, or even if i turn on the radio.yours is most likley a male. Does its throat have loose skin? Good luck

He seems to only make noise when it is dead silent. I'm usually about ready to leave for work and I hear it. I dont see that he has loose skin around his neck.

It may be too young still to tell male from female and it is just making noise but usually they call or make noise if you are doing a good job taking care of them and they are in good health. good luck

Sounds like you have a happy male! Just be glad that he is not doing it at 2 in the morning.
