Mazuri exotics foods - anyone tried them?

bexley Jul 28, 2004 10:09 AM

The website is www.mazuri.com, I was wondering if anyone had tried their food for iguanas, or any other exotic for that matter. Tempest is eating fresh foods well, but he still doesn't eat as much as I'd like him to unless there's a commercial diet in with him all the time (yes, I hate it too, but I think he was probably initially raised on dog kibble). He will eat fresh food, then eat commercial food with fresh food still on the plate! I'm having some trouble getting Rep-Cal reliably, but there is a place that sources food to Metro Toronto Zoo near by me, and they stock Mazuri foods. Feedback and/or opinions, or other commercial food ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Read the ingredients...it cant have any animal protein, fish meal, stuff like that... the protein will hurt his kidneys in the long run...causing renal failure...their systems just cant handle it...and it can also cause dehydration....soak the food in water before feeding...good luck...lyn
