overdue clutch

reuben Jul 28, 2004 11:05 AM

Today's day 80, what should I do. The clutch was all perfect looking eggs. Many of them showed visible signs of expanding some weeks ago and are now showing sunken bits indicative of the end of the egg phase and the beginning of pipping. But they're not opening! One egg is very raisin-like already. I am anathama to interfering and trust the hardy nature of these animals to win the day, but am nervous just the same. Some emotional support and advice please.

the eggs shrinking up is normal and the eggs should strat to hatch any day now. My last clutch went 6 days with shrinking before they started piping today. Trust in nature and make sure the eggs are getting the right temps. Mother nature knows what she is doing, I promise
