Any ideas?

I have a closet that is about 7'x7' and an American Alligator about 2.5 feet long. I want to put him in this room, but I'm having trouble deciding on how. My first idea was to buy pond liner and line the entire room, up the walls, and fill with water, beach, etc. But my worry is that he will tear through the liner and I will have a huge mess. Then i looked at putting acrylic 12"x12" panels down as a layer to protect the liner. But that gets expensive real fast.. Another option is just to get a hard plastic kiddie pool. Does anyone have any ideas? Any experience with pond liner or something I could use to make sure he woudln't tear it? Thanks.

If you have a home depot they have hard plastic garden ponds that work great. They are around $50 to $70 for sizes between 75 and 125 gallons. Something you might consider.
