When to buy

When do people normally sell their baby boas? I am looking to get pair of Surinames and would like to know if I should expect to see a lot to choose from anytime soon.

thanks

There are still not a great deal of captive bred Suriname boas being bred in the US. Most of the Suris that you see are "farm raised" imports (captive born boas from Wild Caught Gravid females). The main import season was a couple of months ago when most of the babies are born in Central and South America. May is the start of the rainy season down there and it normally goes until NOV. but most of the babies arrive in May, timed by nature with the start of the rainy season. You will find some CB babies from time to time, but if you are waiting for the mass of Suris to hit the market, like the recent mass of Colombian boas and the related Morphs, it is not going to happen, the import boat has already arrived at dock (ok at the airport, and it is not a boat, but dang don't be so litteral!) Either way CB babies are worth the extra money and are healthier babies
Good Luck

Colombian's and Central American's.
You'll see some nice litters probably in September.
I have a gravid Suri due in September too.
Good luck!
