I think my baby just shed ( I found the poo) and I'm trying to feed it mealworms but it wont take them. Im dangling them in front of it with tweezers but it just sits there.

It keeps opening and closing its mouth when I'm not trying to feed it

How do you convince your baby it wants to eat?

My vet suggested I put a bit of eye ointment on its eyes because they're swollen, and I just did that. Could that have bothered it enough that it doesn't want to eat?

hello, My little baby wouldnt eat mealworms, it refuesd to eat them, so we it crickets, and it munched those down so fast... they worms must not have an appealing smell to them... try crickets, that might help..

i just got some crickets and it doesn't seem too interested in them either.

They've all pretty much found hiding places now

i looked at what I thought was poo and it was kinda reddish with a white end. Could it maybe have been part of the yolk sac? Its 2 days old now.

I took the crickets out in case its not ready to eat.

oh your baby is only 2 days old... well then thats the problem... they dont eat until their first shed. it took mine about a week to shed. you will know when its shed because you will see a big poo. anyways after if sheds then try offering it food, at first our little baby couldnt hunt so we eithet took of the crickets head or its back jumping legs.. good luck and keep me posted!
