I have a WC pair of racers and would like to breed them but i have no experience breeding snakes. I've been an avid keeper for many years but have never entered into breeding. But now im interested. I know that racers are canabalistic so do i have to worry about this? What temperatures should it be around for courtship to transpire? Well any info is appreciated...Thanx.

Adults usualy are ok togather. For best results cool animals to 55 degrees after a one month fast starting on thanksgiving. After 3 months warm back up and put them together. Some people wait untill the female sheds but my racers are ready to go right away. Make sure they are well fed and hydrated prior to hibernation especialy the female. Hope all goes well.
