breeding boas... keep them together or seprate when growing?

okay i was wondering, there is a reptile show coming up in daytona as im sure you all know, and im hoping to get a pair of baby 100% het albino boas to care for and breed later on. i was wondering if i should keep them together while they are growing up or if i should keep them septrate there whole life until its time to breed? let me know. thanks

I'd keep them separate to minimize stress. It also makes feeding and monitoring them a lot easier. If one snake becomes ill, you know that you can focus medical attention on that snake, as long as you maintain your cage to cage hygine. When you've got 2 (or more) snakes in a cage, it can be hard to tell who's eating and eliminating. They also have to compete for the best hide and basking spots. Bonus of keeping them separate is only one snake can bite you at a time!
I don't breed Colombians but I do breed Rainbow Boas and various colubrids, and I keep each snake in it's own cage.
Just my opinion, but it works.

Seperating 2 snakes that are several feet long when everyone knows it's feeding time is a giant headache. So, if for no other reason, it's many times easier on the keeper.
