Venomous law in Florida regarding Inverts

SalS Jul 28, 2004 04:48 PM

Does the permit, transportation law for venomous animals in Florida also pertain to invertebrates like scorpions and tarantulas?

No, they specify "venomous reptiles". There may be other regulations/laws regarding venomous inverts, but I'm not aware of any. Some non-native inverts (especially roaches) are strictly controlled to prevent infestations, but that's a whole differt problem, and I don't THINK it affects any scorpions or tarantulas.

For dangerous species if you live in Florida.
