Healthy?

briggzer Jul 28, 2004 06:14 PM

Does my Gecko look healthy to everyone? And do they get less jumpy as you hold them more like other reptiles? I took he/she out this evening first time since I got him/her three days ago. he/she seems to be doing fine, it's eaten four crix already. I've been looking for mini mealworms but nowhere around here in Vermont has them, everyone just has regular. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Briggzer

other than being a little skinney he "looks" fine. Not to say that he is too skinney, just doesnt have a lot of fat reserves. This should easily be changed through time though. The will definately calm down. Wild caught adults or even captive bread hatchling are often very aggressive, but highly tameable.

I agree with what the other person said. I mean, he/she really needs to be fattened up.. But.. The eyes appear bright and clear. But this doesn't tell us whether he/she has internal parasites. Good luck with your gecko and if you can't find mealies anywhere locally you could always try ordering online.

yes she looks very healthy, just needs to be a little fatter, shes a bit skinny. Try feeding her a wax worm once every week. But no more than that because they can get adicted and wont accept anything else but wax worms.

B. I don't want to sound mean or anything but your gecko looks like it has one foot in death's door.

Feed him a pinkie or some waxworms.... hurry hurry!
